Die Wupperwände strecken ihre Wellblechsilhouette am nördlichen Ufer der Wupper im Osten des Tals in die Höhe. Die speziell zu diesem Zweck erbaute Halle beherbergt unter ihrem Dach in 16m Höhe 1300m2 Kletterfläche, Routen von bis zu 25m Länge, einen imposanten 12m-Überhang, zwei Riesenleitern und einen Boulderbereich von über 200m2 mitsamt dem weltweit einzigen „Hindenblock"-Modul. Die Wupperwände fungieren als Landesleistungszentrum und arbeiten eng zusammen mit nationalen und internationalen Klettergrößen wie Jonas Baumann, Juliane Wurm, Markus Jung und Udo „Udini" Neumann. Die Wupperwände sind außerdem amtierender HardMoves-Meister. Der Weg zum Titel geht also auch dieses Jahr nur vorbei an unseren knallharten, stahldratigen, yogalenkigen Boulder-Champs – oder eben nicht!

HardMoves Boulder League is an independent association uniting Europe's best bouldering and climbing gyms. In a qualification round, 20 centres will distill a mixed team of their 10 best boulder gals and lads to represent them. In a spectacular finale, the best of these teams will then face off agai...

Die Wand bezwingen - das ist der Kick! Ziehen, drehen, klettern oder springen: Beim Bouldern müssen sich die Teilnehmer durch eine vorgegebene Route von Haltegriffen an der Kletterwand kämpfen.
